430 Russian films have been banned in Ukraine

The inconsistencies in the law severely complicate its execution, according to the Head of State Committee for Cinematography.

Phillip Ilyenko, the Head of the State Committee for Cinematography of Ukraine, reported that the Committee had banned over 430 Russian films in his interview to the newspaper “Cabinet Courier”.

The law contains inconsistencies, which severely complicate or sometimes even preclude its execution. But the work is still being done – as of now, over 430 films have been banned”, Ilyenko said.

Let us remind that in February the Stae Committee for Cinematography banned a number of films starring Bezrukov, Bondarchuk, Prigozhin, and Gazmanov.
