The representative of the Alliance Emanuel Huntzinger told the reporters in Brussels on Tuesday, according to Interfax-Ukraine .
“We conducted a three-day seminars on the psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers who participated in the ATO. We held them in 51 Ukrainian settlements. In general, 3 thousand 746 ATO participants have passed the rehabilitation”, Huntzinger said.
He noted that since the mid-90s, NATO has been helping Ukraine in social adaptation of resigned servicemen.
“We help them to gain new knowledge, so that they can find new jobs. We provide English language courses, economy of small businesses, graphic design and computer courses. We also take into account the labor market aspects of certain regions. In Nikolayev, for example, we carry out courses for drivers of motor boats”, Huntzinger noted.
The representative of the Alliance emphasized that almost 8 thousand of Ukrainian soldiers have passed such courses for the last 20 years.
“As the result, more than 75% could find the application of gained knowledge afterwards. We believe that this is a very high indicator”, Huntzinger underlined.
