The Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov wrote this in his Facebook page .
It is informed that the competition is open to all interested persons from the number of the existing police officers, as well as others who meet the requirements.
The basic requirements for an applicant are: compliance with the general conditions of entry on duty in the police, higher legal education, work experience in the field of law for at least 7 years and at least 5 –in management positions.
Among other requirements on personal and professional qualities were mentioned: honesty and impeccable reputation, motivation, knowledge and commitment to the principles of work of the National Police, political impartiality and strong managerial skills.
The competition will be held by the Advisory Committee consisting of representatives of international organizations and representatives of the public sector and human rights community.
At the same time, it has been pointed out that the Commission’s decision has recommendatory nature.
Avakov reported that the conditions of competition would be announced by January 8.
As it is known, on November 16, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Khatia Dekanoidze from the position of the Head of the National Police. Then, on November 17 Avakov informed about the announcement of the competition.
On November 14, Khatia Dekanoidze announced about her resignation at a press conference.
She explained what she has managed to do at her position, and what no, and emphasized that politicians should not interfere in the work of the police.
Currently, the Acting Head of National Police of Ukraine is Vadim Troyan.
