The judge complains about strangers’ phone calls

The judge was distracted from work by calls from an unknown number. The woman wanted to discuss with him the details of the case that was under consideration. He dropped the phone, and ignored further attempts to connect.

This is reported by the Internet-edition “Law and Business”.

In the proceedings of Igor Chaikin from the Zhovtnevy District Court in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the case came from the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, bringing to administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 172 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

One day a woman called the lawyer from an unknown number and stated that the consideration of this case was directly related to her interests, so she would like to discuss the proceedings. The judge stated that he was finishing the conversation and threw the phone. However, the stranger did not give up and continued to call for several hours in a row. I. Chaikin did not answer calls.

From where she took his number, he does not imagine. However, in his opinion, the desire to discuss the case shows an interference with justice in order to achieve a positive result for himself. Therefore, I. Chaikin complained to the High Council for Justice (No. 2885/0/6-19). He wants the Council to take appropriate responses.
