The official website of the European Court of Human Rights, hudoc.echr.coe.int, launched publishing certain ECHR judgments in Ukrainian.
The translation of the decisions from the Ukrainian side is carried out by the President of the Union of Advocates of Ukraine Oleksandr Drozdov and the Director of Drozdova & Partners law firm Olena Drozdova within the framework of the newly created project “ECtHR cases opinions matters. Ukrainian aspect”.
“The rendering of legal assistance when applying to the European Court is one of our specialties, and the Ukrainian courts are required by law to apply the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the practice of the ECHR as a source of law. As experts, we carefully follow the latest precedents”, O. Drozdova told the “L&B” correspondent. “At a certain stage, we decided to collect translations of the ECHR decisions, news, analytical summaries and articles related to the court activity on a separate resource. I am sure that our material will be useful to many Ukrainian lawyers”.
